Doctor Who Toys and Collectibles – A Timeless Hobby

August 15, 2016

There have been Doctor Who toys and collectibles available almost as long as there have been adventures for the Doctor. Over the years there have been some truly memorable Doctor Who toys, such as the famous 60s Dalek costumes for children, and some that haven;t been so great (the Dapol figures come to mind). Thankfully, with the continued massive popularity of Doctor Who merchandise and DVDs, the franchise looks set to be around for a good long while yet.This is great. I’ve personally loved Doctor Who for twenty years, and was thrilled when it came back onto our screens back in 2005. Sure, there have been a few less than stellar episodes since it came back, but these have been mercifully few. Christopher Eccleston’s ninth Doctor brought the series back in style, but it was the advent of David Tennant’s tenth Doctor that really saw the show take off as a global phenomenon.

It’s bigger now than it ever was during the original 1963-1989 run, and since it came back it has attracted some of the finest talent the British TV and film industry has to offer, both in front of and behind the camera. The range of Doctor Who merchandise currently available is wide and wonderfully exciting for fans young and old, who have a massive choice of toys, games, statues, posters and more to add to their collection.Plus, now that the era of the eleventh Doctor is set to begin, ushering in Matt Smith in the title role as our heroic Time Lord, everything will change and a whole new range of Doctor Who merchandise will be unveiled, with the new logo, the new version of the Doctor, his new companion, the new version of the TARDIS and a new rogue’s gallery of villains and monsters!

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
The return of Doctor Who took old fans by surprise, but it was the sheer magnitude of its popularity that has surprised everyone even more. Now there are Doctor Who toys and collectibles available at all great stores and on all of the best sites online, and the range will keep on growing and changing. Just like the Doctor, Doctor Who merchandise keeps on regenerating!

From Golf Lessons to Artwork – Golf Gifts That Work

August 12, 2016

If you’re looking for a fantastic gift for your golfing friend or spouse, there are some items that make perfect gifts and others that you should avoid. This article will discuss some golf gift and collectible ideas and also go over some items that you should avoid.Golf Collectibles Golf collectibles can make your office or basement feel like your still at the club house. There’s nothing like a beautiful painting or special item that tells a golf story. A great gift for someone interested in golf collectibles would be a logo golf ball. For some, buying a new logo ball each time there is an opportunity can make for a very special collection over time. Any time you visit a new course, pick up a logo ball at the pro shop. Of course, you wouldn’t do this at a local municipal course, but at courses that are more than just ordinary. A collection of 100+ golf balls in a handsome wooden case, mounted on the wall can make a fantastic addition to the d├ęcor of any office or recreational room. Think how special it will be with golf balls from such places as Pinehurst, TPC Sugarbush, Avenel, Congressional, Pebble Beach and more.

Art Golf Collectibles There’s nothing like a print or painting that tells the story of a famous golf championship. Like perhaps an oil depicting Nicklaus and Palmer walking onto number 18 at Oakmont at the 1962 US Open. Or how about Tom Watson’s 71st hole chip in that would win the 82′ Open at Pebble Beach? Paintings and framed photos are always an excellent option because there is such a wide variety of price points and appearances.For a twist on this, a good idea would be to take a picture of the person receiving the gift and have it framed as a collectible piece. If the person you’re shopping for has ever competed in any golf events, or even better, if he has won, getting the news articles from local papers or printing off pages of web site news stories and having them framed up for posterity is an excellent option.Golf Gadgets and Tools Buying golf gifts or gadgets can be tricky because most golfers – men and women – can be very particular about their equipment. There are, however, some items that everybody would love to have. Gadgets like laser yardage scopes, digital course books and even pro shop gift cards all make fantastic gifts. Other less expensive options would include divot tools or embroidered bag towels. These are easy to find, inexpensive and items that every golfer can use.Golf Lessons No matter how advanced your golfing spouse is, a series of golf lessons is always a possibility. Beyond just a one on one session with a pro, there are some types of golf lessons that make more sense. For example, Ping has a mobile club fitting service, where representatives from Ping will put you through a series of sizing and swing analysis tests and send you away with the perfect club specifications based on your personal ability, swing and style.

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
Even some golf ball manufacturers have analysis and testing to identify which golf ball will work best!Golf Gifts to Avoid Generally, it is best to avoid items that can only be chosen by the golfer. Your instinct may be telling you that a beautiful Scotty Cameron putter would make a great gift, but putters – and all clubs – are very personal choices and should only be made by the golfer himself. The same can be said for golf bags and even push carts. Let your golfer choose these items for himself, or buy a gift card instead and include a picture of the item you “suggest” for him.When you’re looking for a golf gift or a golf collectible, use these guidelines and you’ll be giving a gift that your golfer friend or spouse will be sure to love. Find the golf collectibles that will add a touch of class and comfort to your surroundings, or at least help your golfing significant other stay focused on what’s important…getting a great golf score!

What to Expect When Searching For Russian Gifts and Collectibles

August 14, 2016

There are a few websites online that offer Russian gifts and collectibles. Some of the sites cater to serious collectors while others are for the more budget minded. These different websites offer unique gifts from food items, clothing, household items, decorative plaques, vases, murals, books, music, movies and almost anything that you can imagine. Most of the websites are niche oriented and offer specialized items. There are a few that offer broader inventories. One site that is very nice has original carvings and artwork. It caters to the serious collectors, Liliana International. There is another good site that caters to those of us who are on more of a budget and looking for books or Russian made clothing items and it is Russians Mall.

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
With the economy in its current state, and the predictions of cost increases, all of these Russian goods will be going up in price in the near future. It is just a fact that Importing costs are rising and will continue to do so. Already we are seeing the introduction of Russian made clothing, such as tee-shirts with the old soviet emblems, manufactured in countries like China. This may not be wrong but it does hurt the Russian economy. Originally, most, if not all, of these clothing items were manufactured in Russia.On a recent trip to Russia I purchased some of the native apparel and noticed that it was hard to find shoes like we have here in the US. The reason why is that most of their shoes are manufactured locally or in Europe, and are of better quality. I am sure as the world economy changes and it is easier and cheaper to import the items from counties, such as China, that Russian made clothing will be less available for their citizenry as well. The quality of the Russian made shoes is extremely high compared to the quality in the United States. The prices are reasonable as well. To buy a pair of size 10 leather loafers here, of any quality, you will have to pay a minimum of $150.00, while in Russia you can buy a better made shoe for less than $40.00. And the Russian pair will be all leather. In the US the vast majority of shoe apparel is now manufactured elsewhere, in countries like China, and most contain no leather, or very little.

Russian made clothing items are still available and so are copies, for the budget minded. When you are buying Online it is more difficult to determine where the items originated from. Some websites offer the information freely and others do not. But when buying novelty Russian clothing it is of less importance where it was manufactured. When purchasing an expensive item you want the article to be genuine and indigenous to the country. Liliana International offers a good variety of original items and gifts and so does the Russians Mall.

It was at that time that I realized I needed another stream of income!
With my Entrepreneurial mindset and strong leadership skills I David Lewis was NOT about to go work For someone else! So in Late 2004 I turned to the Home Base Business realm!I would love to tell you that I Jumped online and succeeded right away but that would be a lie, I first started my career as an affiliate promoting the e-book of the day by: (INSERT GURU’S NAME HERE) with limited and sporadic success! It was then I turned to one of those high ticket “software” businesses that has a gazillion products in the back office (that no one ever wanted or used anyway)and was told to Market It is a “Business Opportunity” to others! I did manage to sell quite a few but soon became disillusioned for a number of reasons and the biggest was that the average person especially those new to marketing and more specifically online marketing simply could make any money with it!I quickly found out that most people wanting to work from home or desperately needing to replace lost income in their own online business Do Not want to mess around with Junk software, So called Training sessions that turn into nothing more than an opportunity to up sell the membership. Lotions, Potions, endless auto ships (just to remain qualified to collect measly checks if any at all), buy buttons, complicated merchant accounts, frozen PayPal accounts etc. In my 4 years online I have found that most people just want money and in most cases they want it fast and consistent! The masses are looking for something that is easy to understand implement and explain! Enter Cash Gifting!

At the end of the day anyone from any walk of life young or old can understand cash and the concept of giving and receiving! Computer skills are not needed and anybody who can follow directions and plug into an already bullet proof system can do this!If Your looking for something or have failed miserably at anything you have tried online in the past, I urge you to keep an open mind and take a closer look at the cash gifting activity! I’m sure glad I did! I Only wish I had started sooner.

Collectible Sports Memorabilia

August 13, 2016

COLLECTING sports collectibles or sports memorabilia, antique or modern, is limited by two factors: the money available and the space to be filled. Having determined these basic essentials, it is then a personal matter. The taste of the collector may lead to Baseball Memorabilia, Basketball Memorabilia, Football Memorabilia, Golf Memorabilia, NASCAR memorabilia, Diecast Collectibles, Bobble Heads, Hero Posters, or innumerable other things. The lucky acquisition of an admired piece may lead to a determination to get more of the same, or at least to find out what the admiration is all about.An encyclopedia definition of Sports Collecting would go something like this: “The hobby of sports collecting consists of acquiring specific sports items based on a particular sporting interest of the sports collector. These sports collections of sporting things are often highly organized, carefully cataloged, and attractively displayed.” A sports collectible (or collectable) is defined as a manufactured item designed for people interested in sports to collect. The term sports memorabilia usually refers to items related to sporting that can be directly connected to a recent or historical sporting event or sports personality. There are many people that collect these sports memorabilia and collectibles.

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
Since collecting depends on the interests of the individual collector, it may deal with almost any subject including sports collectible & sports memorabilia. The depth and breadth of the collection may also vary. Some collectors choose to focus on a specific subtopic within their area of general interest, for example Baseball memorabilia of the New York Yankees, Basketball memorabilia of the Los Angeles Lakers, Football memorabilia of the Dallas Cowboys, Golf memorabilia of Tiger Woods, NASCAR memorabilia of Tony Stewart, Diecast collectibles of fire trucks, Bobble Heads for any sport, & posters of heroes such as Lance Armstrong. Others prefer to keep a more general collection, accumulating any or all Baseball memorabilia, Basketball memorabilia, Football memorabilia, Golf memorabilia, NASCAR memorabilia, Diecast collectibles, Bobble Heads, or Hero Posters.When the NBA, MLB, and NFL began selling their basketball, baseball, and football jerseys in stores during the 1980s, game used jerseys also became a hot item among sports memorabilia collectors. Former NBA player Dennis Rodman was famous for taking off his jerseys and throwing them to the stands after his games were over. Michael Jordan is probably the basketball player whose memorabilia is most sought after by collectors. Today’s stars include Ben Roethlisberger, Shaquille O’Neil, Nomar Garciaparra, etc. These players seem to be pushing the already popular area of sports collectibles and memorabilia to a new level of acceptance to the public.Collections can take the form of a single item such as a signed baseball, football, or basketball. Collections can also take the form of a series of items, such as jerseys from each member of a particular baseball, basketball, or football team. A NASCAR collection of hats from different drivers is very popular. Golf balls with different logos are especially popular. The cost of any sports collectible memorabilia item is directly proportional to the popularity of the sports figure with which the item correlates. The more popular the sports figure, the more money the sports collectible memorabilia item will demand. The whole sports collectible memorabilia industry is driven by supply and demand. The more demand the higher the price and vice versa. Also, the more supply of an item, the lower the price. Sports cards would be a good example. Only so many of certain cards were ever made. Those carry a higher price than those that were made in bulk. Quality is a very big determining factor in the price of any sports collectible memorabilia item. In general, the better the quality, the higher the price.
